IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Potts
May 28, 1958 – October 9, 2019
Remembering James Grant Potts, known to many as "Grantez"… was born on May 28, 1958 in Wichita, KS.
Grant attended Wichita public school where he was very active in track and field.
From his first marriage, Grant fathered two children and was later blessed with three more boys with his second marriage. Grant loved all of his children very much.
Grant developed a life long love for fitness and exercise. He had vast knowledge of personal training, strength and conditioning. There was no bigger cowboy fan than Grant. "DC for life".
Grant had a way with words. He blessed us all with his words of wisdom and nuggets of knowledge that he gained from his own life experiences.
Grant was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and loved his mother and his entire family so much. He was the third born of four children. Preceded in death by his father, Ulysses Potts, Grant is survived by his mother, Julene Potts, his sisters, Beverly Revels and Debra Potts, his brother, Gary Potts, his children, Grantez Potts, Jamicka Tharp, Elbert Mack III, Kameron Mack, Chaz Mack and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins and other relatives that will truly miss him.
Grant was taken from us all far too soon and will be remembered as a giving, supportive and loving person. He will be missed by all.
