James "Don" Mathers' Obituary
James "Don" Mathers, 84. went home to be with Jesus Dec. 5, 2011.
He was born Nov. 3, 1927 in Valley Center to James Presley & Clara Lee Mathers. He graduated in 1945 from Valley Center High School and married Beverly Jean Casmaer in October 1947.
She preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2009. Also preceding him were sisters, Mildred, Esther, Verla and Bernice.
He leaves behind his children, Debra (Barry) Murphy of Aloha, OR; Steven Mathers, Kevin Mathers, Julie Chippeaux , all of Wichita; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation 2-6 p.m. Thurs., Funeral Service 2 p.m. Fri., both at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of KS.
