James "Jim" W. Emery was born Feb. 19, 1941 in Byron, OK to William and Juanita Emery. He died April 27, 2017 in Wichita, KS at the age of 76. Jim was a retired custodian from the Wichita Public Schools Board of Education. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Evelyn; two sisters, Peggy and Dorothy. Survivors include children; Frank (Lucinda) Hayden, James (Beverly) Hayden, Eddie Hayden, Cathy Bobbitt and Ruby Stewart; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Joann) Emery and George Emery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with funeral service at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 all at Old Mission Mortuary.
