James
Cooper
July 10, 1936 – April 22, 2026
James L. Cooper was born on July 10, 1936, in Kennedy, Alabama — the eldest of his siblings — and departed this life on April 22, 2026, at 89 years of age. He made his way to Wichita, Kansas in 1955, but not before returning to Alabama to marry the love of his life, Bittie J. Cooper, and bring her and his son home to build a new life — one that would span 70 years of devoted marriage. Known for his infectious laugh, quick wit, and deep conviction— James was a man of extraordinary work ethic, dedicating over 45 years to Coca-Cola. Even after suffering a stroke, he refused to be still, maintaining his independence until most recently. Music was the heartbeat of his soul — proudly calling himself the "Blues Man". James Cooper came a long way from Kennedy, Alabama — he worked hard, laughed loud, loved deeply, and lived fully.
