Hazel Evelyn Moreland of Wichita, Ks.  October 18th, 1935 passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Hazel was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Elmer and Enone Porter.  Hazel married Dr. Edwin C. Moreland on August 14, 1954.  They were long-time residents of Emporia, Kansas where Edwin was a Social Science professor at Emporia State University and Hazel a housewife and substitute teacher.  They had five children, Mark Moreland, Sabrina Taylor, Heidi Baxter, Ian Moreland, and Cicely Dare.  Hazel is survived by all her children, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.  Edwin preceded Hazel in death on February, 14th 2005.  Hazel loved her family and spending time gardening.  She also loved the Lord and shared this love with others right up to her final days.
