Harriette "Deane" Griffith's life began nearly a century ago in Buffalo Kansas on Oct 27th, 1925. She was the daughter of Haljmar S Nelson, and Katherine (Marham) Nelson. Deane graduated high school from Erie High School and received her beauty certificate in Orange County California. She married Clell "Red" Griffith on March 28, 1946.

Deane and Red raised their 3 children in Wichita, Kansas. She spent time working in her in home beauty shop Long Ranch Beauty Salon where she continued with some of her clients into her 70's while always learning and practicing new crafts. She had many talents that she not only learned but mastered; crochet, sewing, pottery, stained glass, guitar and piano. Her favorite pastime however, was spending time with her family and she was most proud that all of her family shared in her values and treated one another with kindness first.

Deane lived a full life and loved big- she knew how to have a good time, and she was always the life of the party. She had her wit and spunk right up until the end. Deane's is survived by her children Melody Everhart of Wichita, KS, Clell L. "Zeke" Griffith (Shara Lyn of Limon, Colorado, and Sandra (Mitch) Willour of Aledo, Texas as well as 6 grandchildren: Jason (Christine) Willour of Tucson, Arizona, Justin (Kristina) Willour of Potwin, KS, Matthew (Emily) Everhart of Owings, MD. Ryan (Kara) Everhart of Rockwall Texas, and Joshua (Jennifer) Willour of Azle, Texas; and 18 great-grandchildren: Bailey and Braden Willour, Emma (Harrison) Metzger, Alli, Chelsea and Taylor Willour, Kaylie, Reece and Mason Everhart, Eden, Ike, Reed, and Archer Everhart, Anne, Joel, and Nick Gilliand.

Deane went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2024 at the age of 99. She is preceded in death by her husband Red Griffith and her great grandson Jack Everhart. A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery at 12:00pm 1806 N. Oliver 67208 followed by a Celebration of Life at Grace Communion Derby, 321 S. Derby, Derby, KS on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 1:30pm.
