Gwendolyn Lou Jager died August 20, 2021. She was married to the late Dr. Thor Jager and is survived  by her nephew Richard Nielsen of Bloomington, IL. Gwen also has several step grandchildren and step  great grandchildren. During her lifetime, Gwen worked as a Registered Nurse at Wesley Hospital. In  addition to her nursing career, she kept her husband's work as a noted Pathologist and educator in the forefront through her support of the Jager Club and the Jager Collection at the Clendening Library at the  University of Kansas School of Medicine. She was a lifelong member of P.E.O. and an active member of  College Hill Methodist Church. She was also an avid attendee of Music Theatre of Wichita and was a  supporter of Botanica, the Sedgwick County Zoo and KPTS. Services will be held at 10:00 on August 25,  2021 at College Hill United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kansas University Endowment Association to be held in the Dr. Thor and Gwendolyn Jager Fund.
