Grace Elaine Williams, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with our Father in Heaven, on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in her home with her family surrounding her. Her battle to overcome cancer was well fought.
She was born on August 7, 1962, in Wichita, KS, to George E. and Garvis J. Williams; she was the tenth child in a family of twelve. She graduated from West High School in 1980, where she was on the Pom Pom Squad.
She was the most compassionate person, you could ever meet. She never turned anyone away who needed help of any kind, opening her home to those who were going through rough times. Her heart was so big and full of love; it never seemed to run out. She was a collector, not of things but of people in need of love and a hug.
Grace is survived by her daughters, Jameelah (Nickie), Jennifer L., Julia D., and Jade A. Williams, Breande J. and Shaunte M. Foreman; sons, Billy J. and Gwindell M. Foreman; grandsons, Omar R. Williams, and Sadonte N. Simpson; mother, Garvis J. Williams; uncle, Lawrence D. Wilson; aunt, Melba Lucien; aunt, Charlotte Washington; brothers, Garland L. Williams, Gregory E. Williams, George W. Williams; sisters, Gail J. Phipps, Glenda L. Thomas, Gwendola P. Hester, Gloria D. McDonald, Gay Angela Bryant, Glecia A. Robinson, Ginger E. Williams, and a host of nephews and nieces.
