Gloria Dean Wright, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her family. She was born in Okmulgee, OK to Luella and Emmitt Dean Sr on April 29, 1941. Gloria met and married the love of her life, Carl Wright, who predeceased her. They were married for 56 years. Preceding Gloria in death are her mother and father, and her sister, Eva Jo Dean Austin.
She is survived by her daughters Sherri Wright Wesley and Beverly Wright Barnes, both of Wichita. Grandchildren: Antonio Wesley, Harry Wesley (Dallas, TX.), Vincent Wesley, April Weston, Simeon Barnes IV. She also leaves nine sisters and three brothers: Lois Dean Brooks, Kathy Dean Jenkins (Alvin), Julie Dean Traylor, Lisa Dean Montgomery, James Dean (Debbie) all of Tulsa, OK; Agatha Dean Adams (Oscar) of Stillwater, OK; Joyce Dean Dooley (Alfred), Fort Worth, TX.; Amy Dean Shegog (Lee) of Coweta, OK; Emmitt Dean Jr (Linda) and Harry Dean (Brenda) of Okmulgee; and Emile Dean McGill of Wichita; two aunts.
Her funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church.
