Obituary

Glenda L Washington was born in Wichita, Kansas on
February 10, 1964 to Mae Helen and Luther Washington. Glenda attended
Wichita Public Schools. She graduated with the class of 1982 from Wichita
South High School. While attending South High School, she was a
prominent member of the cheerleading squad. Glenda also attended
Vernon's Cosmetology School where she earned her cosmetology license.
For many years she worked as a manager at the Value Center. Everybody that went
there knew Glenda and only spoke kind words about her. When the Value Center
closed, she found her love for caregiving and begin working for Miracle Home Care,
where she was employed up until she passed away.
Glenda was a loving person that opened her home up to anyone that
needed a place to stay. She loved spending time with her family. Glenda
was a devoted mother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was very close
with her children Gerald and Dominique. Glenda also devoted a lot of
time to helping her mother. She was known in her neighborhood as
"G-Money" because of her love for traveling, designer clothes, and fancy things. Glenda had a special bond with her niece, Cassandra. She
loved going over to her house for the cookouts, and she would always
let everybody know "I'm bringing the corn on the cob!!" Glenda touched the hearts of
everyone she met and will be greatly missed. She also left a lasting impression and
many memories for everyone she knew.
