Geraldine "Geri" Phillippe Weeks Cook, born in Bristoe, Oklahoma, departed this life July 29, 2010 and went to be with her Lord and Savior.
She is survived by her husband, Gene.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Edith Phillippe; brother, Jimmie and a baby sister.
She is also survived by Constance "Connie" Wood, daughter, Blanding, Utah; son, Henry "John" Weeks, Jr, Wichita; brother Ron, Andover, Kansas; sister, Eva Powell, Granberry, Texas, Betty Knapp, Wichita, Kansas, Coralie Andrew, Breckinridge, Texas.
Geri married Kenneth Weeks, a W.W. II "Day" veteran in 1945, who passed away in 1976.
While attending Wichita Business College she was hired by Southwestern Life Insurance Company. After several years she was employed by Mass Mutual Life Insurance Company and retired to take care of her ill mother.
Kindness and consideration of others, taking personal care of many, was a part of her life.
A Funeral Service will take place Monday, 10:30 a.m., August 2, 2010, at Sunnyside Baptist Church, 2618 E. Morris, Wichita, Kansas.
