George W. Bantz, 90, retired Navy veteran & businessman, died quietly Dec. 29, 2012. George served as a United States Navy pilot during WWII & later as a Naval Reservist. After the war he was employed by NCR as western Kansas sales representative & later was co-owner of Bantz-Hawkins Tire in Wichita until his retirement. George is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Bantz, Wichita, KS; and niece, Lynne Fischer, New Milford, NJ; family members, Stephanie (Wayne) Jennings, Wichita, KS and Steve Monson, Rogers, AR. A Funeral Service will be held at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st St. Fri., Jan. 4 at 2 p.m. with viewing one hour prior.
