Gary Lynn Short, lost his fight to cancer on March 17, 2019.  He was born October 5, 1951 in Wellington, Ks.  Gary attended Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas (class of '69).  He was an avid bowler through school and in many leagues.  Gary worked for Misco, Boeing, in car sales, and for Metro Courier in Wichita, Ks.  He thought the world of all his kids and grandkids.  Gary loved fishing, the WSU Shockers, and the Kansas City Chiefs.  Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Frances Short, his grandmother, Anna Flagler, and his father in law, Richard V. Cole.  Gary is survived by his wife, Debbie Short (Deb), whom he met in 1989 and enjoyed 22 years of marriage; four children:  Brad Short (Scott Lawrence), Wichita, Ks; Randy Miller (Jennifer), Mulvane, Ks; Angie Miller, El Dorado, Ks; Chris Cheever (Mandy), Wichita, Ks; mother in law, Violet Cole, Wichita, Ks; 3 nieces and nephews:  Jennifer Redington (Joe), Towanda, Ks; Amanda Bogard, Towanda, Ks; and Chad Cole (Jennifer), Towanda, Ks; 13 grandchildren:  Samantha Miller, Morgan Ruckman, Alyssa Miller, Jordan Ruckman, Hailey Miller, Cole Miller, Zachary Ruckman, Katelyn Miller, Carson Cheever, Larkin Miller, Sophia Miller, Owen Cheever, and Sydney Miller; 2 great grandchildren:  Cameron and Regan Rigsby.
