Gary E. Macy, 84, formerly of Rockford, Illinois retired Quality Control Engineer at Sundstrand Corp., passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 28, 2020. A private funeral service and burial will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Old Mission Chapel Mausoleum, Wichita, KS. Mr. Macy was born August 7, 1935 to Edythe and Charles Macy in Salina, KS and then onto Hutchinson, KS until 1973 when he and his family moved to Illinois. He was happily retired with his wife in Texas his last 21 years of life. Gary served his country in the Naval Reserves. He was very active with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps of Rockford, IL. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Arden Menke Macy; brother, Bob Macy (Melinda) of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Melinda K. Hiles (Terry Hiles) of Coppell, TX; son, Greg Macy (Citlalli Macy) of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
