Gary Bequette, of Kechi, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 61. Gary worked for over 30 years as a police sergeant for Wichita State University before taking early retirement in 2014.

Gary is survived by his son, Jason Bequette, his daughter in-law, Joanna, his two granddaughters Alexis and Sydney, his grandson Jason Grant, his mother Joan Glotzbach, his step-mother Pat Bequette, his brothers Dan Bequette (Florian) and Jay Bequette (Julie), his sisters Linda Steinbock, Eve Cummings, and Marti Christiansen (Ty). He was preceded in death by his father, Mehl Bequette, his step-father Marv Glotzbach, his sisters, Karen and Mary Kay.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas, family and friends are welcome. Flowers can be sent to Old Mission Mortuary and memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
