Franklin Louis Hirning, was born June 24, 1922 in Zarah, Kansas to Frank and Louise (Kresine) Hirning. He died at the age of 86 on June 17, 2009 in Wichita, Kansas. Frank retired from Boeing as an industrial engineer. He loved hunting, gardening and was a competitive Trap Shooter. He will be missed by his wife Virginia, of 59 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Maib of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; a grandson, Charles Maib of Japan. Family requests donations to American Cancer Society. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2009 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. A Remembrance gathering will follow at the Church fellowship hall. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. at Old Mission Cemetery. Old Mission Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
