Floyd Thomas Rogers was born the fifth child of six in El Dorado, Kansas. He died at the age of 88 on October 5, 2008.
Floyd married Elva Jane Blakely June 11, 1944. He was retired from Cessna Aircraft and was a 50 year member of Sunflower Masonic Lodge #86.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd Thomas Jr., and Bennie E. Rogers and one grandson, Brian Ellis.
Survivors include his wife of sixty four years, Elva Jane; daughter, Margie Tatom; nineteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Catherine Martin, Audra Fair, Robert, Michael, Bennie Rogers, Jessica Smith, David Martin, Stephanie, Robert, Megan Rogers, Brandon, Thomas and Patricia Rogers, Devon and Destin Fair, Adrian, Eric and Gabrielle Lopez.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church with visitation held noon-1:30 prior to the service.
Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
