Florence Gina Brown was born Nov. 4, 1933 in Fredonia, KS. to George A. and Hazel (Cooley) Young. She died Nov. 16, 2014 in Wichita, Ks. at the age of 81. Florence was a homemaker with a gift of making quilts and she was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cynthia Kathleen Hammond and several brothers and sisters. Florence is survived by her husband, Ray; and children, Patricia Howard , Genevieve (Dennis) Chew, Venita (Kent) Nelson, and Ray Brown, Jr.; a brother, George (Lou) Young; a sister, Genevieve Zeir; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wed. Nov. 19, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and the funeral is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. both at Old Mission Mortuary.
