Evelyn Neal, 86, passed away May 11, 2020 in Wichita, KS. She was born May 7, 1934 in Searcy, AR. Evelyn married James Frank Neal on July 24, 1953, for 66 years; together having 3 children, Rickey Neal, Drenda Dunn and Karen Alderson. When she moved to Wichita in the early '50's, she worked at Boeing. After marrying Frank, she devoted the rest of her life to being a wife and mother. Evelyn maintained an immaculate house and loved to entertain guests there. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn loved to travel with family and friends. After Frank retired, they took several Caribbean cruises and bus tours to the Northeast to enjoy the beautiful fall colors there. She was a long-time member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, where her constant presence was a stabilizing influence. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, brother and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband; children; 9 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers and a host of friends, neighbors, former co-workers and fellow church members. A come and go viewing, due to limitations, only 15 people at a time, will be 11:30-1:30 pm, May 27, 2020 with a Funeral service 1:30 pm at Old Mission Mortuary Chapel and a Graveside service to follow in Old Mission Cemetery. A zoom address will be shared at the convenience of the family.
