Evelyn Walton, age 84, died peacefully in her home in Wichita Kansas on October 28, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on April 14, 1937 in Santuc, South Carolina, to Edward Jeter and Ethel Davis. She married her high school sweetheart Tracy Walton in 1955. Together they raised four daughters. Once her children were older, she started working as a nurse assistant. She went on to attend vocational school, where she became a licensed practical nurse. Evelyn had a passion for caring for others. She was known as being strong willed, but fair. She spent 33 years working as a licensed practical nurse at Wesley Medical Center, before retiring in 2009. Evelyn enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping and traveling. Her greatest joy came from caring for and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Jeter and Ethel Davis; husband, Tracy Walton; brothers, Donald, Edward, Louis and William Jeter. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Granados, Angela Perry, Sharon Walton and Terri Walton; sister, Mary Lipscomb; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
