Ellen Marie Johnson was born Aug. 24, 1928 in Spearville, KS. to Joseph Abraham and Mable Ruth (Miller) Popp. She died Aug. 18, 2015 in Wichita, KS. at the age of 86. She was retired from Ralston Purina and a member of Westside Christian Church. Preceding Ellen in death were her parents; husband, Charles Long in 1965; a daughter, Jenna Johnson; grandson, Ben Jones; and 2 brothers, Warren and Marvin Popp. Survivors include her husband, Merle; son, Roger (Dawn) Long of Lenexa, KS.; daughter, Kay (AJ) Jones of Battle Creek, Michigan; son, David (Lisa) Johnson of Wichita, KS.; son, Tom (Deborah) Johnson of Overland Park, KS.; daughters, Gina (Tim) Lauer and Becky Janssen of Wichita, KS.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.. Funeral services are scheduled on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Old Mission Mortuary Chapel with burial at White Chapel Memorial Garden.
