Ella M. Dalager, 101, died Saturday, January 23, 2016. She was born May 3, 1914 in Silverdale, KS. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Tennie Willis, husband Leon Dalager, and three sisters, Marie Mellard, Lena Ayesh and Wilma Culbertson. She is survived by a sister, Ramona Groff of Grove, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews, and her good friend Jim Mellon. Ella started work as a telephone operator in Wichita. During the Depression she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she lived for many years.
During World War II she worked at Lockheed Aircraft. She returned to Wichita in 1976.
Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday January 27, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 10:30 am at Old Mission Mortuary with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Old Mission Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
