Dorothy died on her 79th birthday, July 9, 2010, with her family at her side in Wichita.
The Funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E. 21st.
Peachie loved being with and taking care of her family and friends. She touched the lives of many people with her inspiring spirit and selfless generosity throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Elton Weeks, her sisters, Jewell Hazelwood and Mary Ann Beckwith, both of West Point, Mississippi, her two sons Bill Weeks and his wife Becky of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Don Weeks and his wife Denise of Palm City, Florida. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Weeks.
