Doris Marie Janne was born July 4, 1926 in Lucas, Ks. to Andrew and Marie Heinze. She died on April 16, 2016 in Wichita, Ks. at the age of 89. She married Kenneth D. Janne on Dec. 8, 1945 in Wichita, Ks. Doris retired in 1991 from USD #259 as a Reading Paraprofessional. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Kenneth; 3 brothers, Leonard (Lillian), Richard (Betty) and Harlan; and brother-in-law, Bob Hampton; daughter-in-law, Nicki . She is survived by her 3 children, Barbara DeHaan, Wayne (Sharon) Janne, Richard Janne; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Karen K. Hampton; sister- in -law, Lois Heinze. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Wichita Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers it was Doris's request for memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 W. 26th Street, Wichita, Ks. 67217.
