Obituary

Donna L. McAdams Reichenberger, 82, of Wichita Kansas died Tuesday October 1, 2013 after a long and happy life.
Donna was born on March 24, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas to Claude McAdams and Juanita Devore McAdams. She was the last surviving member of her family which included her sisters; Deloris (Dee) McAdams Bigley and Charlene McAdams Sowders. Donna graduated from East High in Wichita Kansas 1949 and then completed her banking education in Denver, CO
She married Allen Reichenberger in 1952 and they were blessed with seven children. They resided in Andale, KS during their marriage.
Donna is survived by her seven children: Steven Reichenberger (of Stafford, KS) and his children; Stephanie, Nicole, Cameron and Rachel; Michelle and Michael Glascock (of Bakersfield, CA) and their two children; Tanya and Alex; Jeff Reichenberger (of St. Marks, KS) and his six children; Brent, Sarah, Jesse, Kayla, Cory, and Leah); Michael and Susan Reichenberger (of Escondido, CA) and their two children; Carissa and Robert; Brad and Dee Reichenberger (of Andale, KS) and their four children; Tyler, Emma, Luke, Jace; Tom and Helen Reichenberger (of San Antonio, TX) and two of their three children; Ryan and Hannah; Bill Reichenberger (of Wichita, KS) and two of his three children; Megan and Katherine.
Donna is also preceded in death by her two grandsons, Jordan Reichenberger and Brandon Reichenberger.
Donna attended Hamilton Elementary school and East High School in Wichita, Kansas. She was active in Bethany Methodist church and choir. Donna's passions were her children and grandchildren and to experience life's many opportunities. She excelled in her banking career and more recently as a real estate agent. Donna always tried to give her children every opportunity, encouraging them to push their boundaries in sports, work, travel, hobbies, and anything they pursued. It was very special watching her grandchildren in any type of sporting/school events.
At age 40 she learned how to snow ski which was something she enjoyed. She encouraged her children to experience and excel in the sport as well. Her passion to encourage her family didn't end with her children. She was the biggest advocate of any event her grandchildren, in-laws, friends and/or neighbors were involved with. If you needed someone to support whatever you were doing (from making jam to running a 5K) all you had to do was pick up the phone and call her. Her excitement/encouragement will live on for all-of-us every time any of us reaches out or offers an encouraging word.
