Doneva E. Findley, was born Aug. 25, 1927 in rural Douglass, KS to Charles & Maude (Gagan) Humbolt. She passed away in Wichita, KS at the age of 85 years surrounded by her children. Doneva married Joseph "Carl" Findley on April 5, 1947 in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2008. Also preceding her were son-in-law, Charles Buller; brothers, Ralph Humbolt, Sr. & Harold Humbolt; sister, Gladys McCully. Survivors include daughters, Charlene Buller, Shirley & Bob Beardsley, Joneva and Brent Owens; son, Larry & Becky Findley; brother, Carl & Frances Humbolt; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.; funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, both at Old Mission Mortuary; burial in El Paso Cemetery, Derby, KS. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
