IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald E.
Radig
December 20, 1955 – March 6, 2021
Donnie passed away at 65, March 6 th , 2021. He was born in Wichita Kansas to Elizabeth Jane Radig and later adopted by William Earl Radig and Dorothy Mae Radig.
In Donnie's younger days he loved racing his motor bike. He won so many trophies, too many to count. He also loved playing softball. The local Wichita paper wrote an article about Donnie where he hit the first home run at Dukes Diamond. Not just one time but every time at bat! He loved to fish and did a lot of that with his brothers and his dad.
Don had several jobs but the last one was driving an 18-wheeler all over the United States with his late wife Marsha who he lost in a house fire in Jet Oklahoma, along with his grandson Gabriel.
Don moved back to Wichita where he met Sandy Wilson at a Grief Group. Sandy had just lost her husband of a long-time illness. They soon discovered the love of going to different restaurants and they loved eating. Sandy remembers the first time she asked to take him to dinner and asked if he liked seafood. Don was thinking Long John Silvers is great while Sandy was thinking more like Red Lobster. That was the first of many laughs they would share. Sandy has been by Don's side, taking care of him these last few years, in and out of the hospital Rehab and care homes, small and large brain bleeds and double pneumonia.
Don was preceded in death by Dorothy Mae Radig (mother), William Earl Radig (father), William Radig Jr (brother), Elizabeth (Betty) Radig (sister), Craig (brother), Dustin (son) and Gabriel (grandson).
Don is survived by Sandy Wilson (girlfriend), Betty Ann (daughter), Todd (son), Isaac (son) and Austin (stepson). He also leaves behind Bob Radig (brother), Ann Broom (sister), Bobbie Vidrois (brother), Tina Cato (sister), Kim Green (sister) and Buddy Cato (brother) and 11 grand children and 1 great grandson Israel and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
