IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra
Aelmore
October 1, 1956 – July 31, 2021
Debra Aelmore age 64, passed away peacefully at Comfort Care Homes of Wichita, Kansas on July 31, 2021. Born October 1, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, she was the third daughter to George and LeMoyne Jones. They later moved to Newton, KS during her high school years where her grandparents were from. Although she eventually grew to appreciate life in the Midwest, the diversity and soul of LA was never far from her heart. After high school she began her college years at Emporia State University and eventually graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Journalism. She spent many years working various jobs, but eventually took a position as Career Coordinator for the Work Force Development Center in Wichita where she retired after 17 years. She especially gave careful attention to clients with hard circumstances. This came as no surprise since she had a bent toward the less fortunate even contributing to various organizations like Wounded Warrior Project and Voice of the Martyrs.
Debra had a daughter in December of 1976. She eventually found her true love, Andy Aelmore whom she married in May of 1998 and instantly became a step-mom of two boys who were then 8 and 12 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 13 years.
She is survived by her sisters, Martha (Phil) Wolfersberger and Denise (Chis) Conyers; three children, Mia (Aaron) Nelson, Paul (Chelsea) Aelmore and Mark Aelmore; four grandchildren, Levi, Ezra, Kyle, and Charlotte.
