Dean E. Britting, 80, passed away February 16, 2023. He was born in El Dorado, Kansas, attended Wichita East High School and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Geology. He was a unique individual with a curious mind and a never ending desire for learning. Dean married Deborah Campbell on March 4, 1967. She was a loving and devoted wife, his "Angel on earth" until her death in 2016. Following their nuptials, he served as a pilot for the United States Army in Vietnam. With Deborah, Dean built a life in Wichita, Kansas as a well established, hard-working oil and gas industry professional. He was a fun-loving father and grandfather to four devoted children and nine wonderful grandchildren. Dean was preceded in death by wife, Deborah (Campbell) Britting and parents, Merle and Helen (Patterson) Britting. Survivors include children; Dustyn (Bryan) Harbison, Dana (Brad) Elmore, Deanette (Jared) Knudson and Duane (Ivette) Britting; nine grandchildren; sister, Sue (Frank) Solomon. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday May 6th 2023 at University Congregational Church, 9209 E. 29th St. N., Wichita, KS and online at www.ucchurch.org .
