Obituary

Danny was born on Friday January 13, 1978 to Heather McGrew and Thomas Allan in Wichita, KS. He weighted 10 pounds and was 21 inches long and his mother says that he came screaming into the world. He always celebrated every Friday the 13ths as his birthday.
He spent his early years living with his mother, sister Crystal and father Tom in northeast Wichita on Gentry Street. They had several animals including dogs, cats and even a Shetland pony named David. His great grandmother, Arline, and grandparents were very involved in raising Danny. He was a handful and a daredevil. One Christmas, Heather had bought bicycles for Crystal and Danny but she could not afford to have them assembled by the store so they were in the box when she went to bed. When she woke up, the bikes had been assembled by the kids and when she woke up the kids were riding them around the house. This was the first indication that Danny would amaze people.
In the years following the Gentry house, the family lived in several different locations around Wichita and the kids went to several different schools. Then Heather and the kids moved a farm in Benton. Here the family started fostering Junior and Jessie for the summer. This gave Danny some brothers to play with and get into trouble with. The was a very happy summer for the family. After Benton, this family moved to Brainard and this is when Thelma and Jay joined their happy family. Just after this Heather married Herb Reeves and Heather and the kids moved in with Herb.
After Danny graduated high school, he started working at different fast food restaurants and this is when he met Christina Jelley. Danny adopted Christina's son David Lee, Isiah was born in December 1998, Sarai in April 2000, Candance in June 2002 and Isabella in June 2006. Danny also claims Christina's young boys Maliki and JJ as his own. They lived at the Broadway house in Valley Center.
After Danny and Christina split, Danny started seeing Bobbi Blackburn and married her Nov 20th. Bobbi's daughter Breona became his daughter and Madison was born in July 2006, Emalee was born in Sept 2009. Bobbi remembers that when Danny was twelve, he told her that he would marry her one day.
In March of this year, the Broadway house burnt to the ground including the contents. Luckily, no one was at home. Bobbi and Danny spend months looking for another house until finally finding the current house in Rose Hill. They had just moved in to the new house in June and said it felt like they were home.
Danny went to work for Cessna while he was married to Christina and continued to work for the aircraft industry for years working for Cessna then Lockheed, Spirit and then back to Cessna.
Danny loved his motorcycles and just recently went to Tulsa and acquired a Victory that he just loved. He also loved to boat and camp out at El Dorado Lake.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at around 5:30 am, Danny was on his way to work driving his Yukon, when some type of medical issue overcame Danny. He was able to bring the car he was driving to a stop in the ditch without incident but EMS was not able to revive him at the scene.
He was greatly loved and is dearly missed by everyone that knew him. The hole that was left by him can never be filled.
