Christopher Lyle Vance was born in San Diego, California on August 28, 1950 to Rolland Lyle and Betty Ruth Vance.

Chris passed away after loosing his battle with ALS on Friday, May 26, 2023 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was 73 years old.

Chris joined the United States Air Force in 1969.  He retired in 1989 in Wichita, Kansas after a 20 year service.

His favorite hobbies were bowling and pickleball.

He was a member of Faith Community Church, where he served, volunteered and enjoyed being around community.

He is preceded by: his parents Rolland Lyle and Betty Ruth Vance and his youngest brother Paul Curtis Vance.

He is survived by: his younger brother Rolland Roy Vance, his older sister Sharon Gertrude Lizotte, his youngest sisters: Cynthia Jayne Fowler, and Kathleen Graham, his nephew's: Jonathan Manglicmot, Michael Manglicmot, Curtis Tyler Vance and Tyler Lyle Vance, niece's: Laura Manglicmot, Tonya Marie Vance and Liliana Monique Vance-Bigler; his great niece Audrey Rose Vance; his son Jason Vance, his adopted children: Melissa Vance and Robert (Bobby) Vance, his 2 Granddaughters, 3 Great-granddaughters, 4 Step-children , 21 Step-grandchildren and 9 Step- great grandchildren.

His Celebration of Life will be held at his church:

Faith Community Church on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2 PM.

His Burial and Military Honors will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
