Carol Lynn Peebles was born in Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas on January 20, 1941 to Harry Alexander Peebles and Phyllis Dorothy Pyle. She passed away in Encinitas, San Diego County, California on July 8, 2026.
Carol was a scientist and had an extraordinary career in the field of immunology research. She had many notable achievements and was instrumental in the discovery of antibodies related to auto-immune diseases. Despite her age and health challenges she continued to work and contribute to the scientific community receiving her last paycheck in 2024. She traveled extensively with trips to the Holy Land and Egypt. Carol joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a devoted member. Her family genealogy was of utmost importance to her, and she loved talking about and studying gospel subjects. She was also a devoted Kansa City Chiefs and Oklahoma football fan.
Carol Lynn Peebles is survived by her biological daughter with whom she was reunited in 2019, Amy Ruth Allen and her niece Michelle Brooks. She was preceded in death by her sister Melinda Dixon.
A graveside service and memorial will be held on August 15th, 2026, at 10 AM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. She will be laid to rest next to her parents.
