Bill LeRoy Journey, 65, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007. Funeral Service to be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, with viewing one hour prior to service. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver, Wichita, KS.
Bill retired after 37 years as a Lt. Colonel for the Sedgwick County Sheriffs Reserves. While in the reserves he worked part time at Silva Security Company where he put in twenty years and was still working at the time of his death.
He was born January 15, 1942 in Wichita, KS the son of JoAnn & GW Journey. Bill is survived by son Troy & wife Kay; mother JoAnn Mundy; brothers, Steve & wife Sharron, Chris & wife Kim; sister, Marcia Mundy; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, three nieces, three nephews, all of Wichita.
For all who knew Bill he was a generous, hard working, big hearted person with a mischievous sense of humor. He was always there for his friends & family. He was so loved. He will be greatly missed.
