Betty J. Peterson, 97, passed away July 20, 2022, in Wichita, KS. She was born December 18, 1924, in Pleasant Hill, MO, to John L. and Mary Jane (Gilbert) Littell. Betty enjoyed watching birds, doing needle work and cross stitch and volunteered with her church. She loved traveling with her family and friends, her favorite was camping in the mountains. During her younger years she enjoyed entertaining at her home and running her business of making sandwiches and delivering them to downtown businesses in the 40's. Betty was always put together and well dressed, she loved having a beautiful home, always elegant and formal. She cherished spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. Betty is survived by her daughters, Abby (Frank) Hopkins and Vera Sue (Scott) Peters; grandchildren, Frank D. (Kimberly) Hopkins and Marshall L. (Kelsi) Hopkins; great grandchildren, Madison, Brekyn, Aydin Fluis and Graisyn and Camdyn Hopkins. She is preceded by her parents; husband, Edwin Keith (Pete) Peterson, of 57 years; brothers, Monroe and Frank and her sister. Instead of flowers, a memorial is set up for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
