Oliverson, Beatrice "Chris," was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Wichita to George Washington and Martha Ruth (Neufeldt) Cathey. She died Nov. 28, 2014, in Wichita, at the age of 94. Chris was a 94 year Wichita resident and a proud "Professional Homemaker" raising her family and loving to sew and garden. She was a senior member of Westside Christian Church, member of Ivy Leaf Order of the Eastern Star, and a Camp Fire Girls Volunteer. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ralph in 2006. She leaves to mourn her passing: 3 daughters, Judith and Howard Brawn of Cathlamet, WA, Catherine Oliverson and Scott Karsting of Nashville, TN, and Janet Colleen Newfelt of Wichita; a son, Rick Mourning of Wichita; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Westside Christian Church and McCormick School Museum. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Old Mission Mortuary. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Masonic Home. Private burial to take place Wednesday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
