Barney R Bernhardt passed away February 23, 2024 at the age of 74. He grew up in Tampa, Kansas with his sister, Kathy, and parents, Ted and Adeline. He enjoyed the rural life, playing baseball throughout his school years and hunting with family. After high school Barney was in the Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Into his adult years Barney enjoyed bowling. He was added to the Salina Bowling Hall of Fame for his many achievements. When he wasn't bowling, Barney was a dedicated worker, working at Beech, Boeing, and retiring from Spirit. In his free time, he played rounds of golf with friends, played online poker, and watched any sport, with his favorite being Miami Hurricane College Football. Barney also loved to travel with his wife, Linda. They went on many trips to Nevada and later in life enjoyed cruises to the Caribbeans and Mexico. Barney is survived by his three children, Carrie, Kelly, and Megan. Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
