Barbara Ann McAuley, 96, passed away June 15, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born December 29, 1924, to Fred and Katherine (McAllister) Rustenbach. Barbara met her husband Robert when he was in the Navy, they moved around to several places before settling down in Wichita where they later had 3 children. Barbara enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, feeding the red birds, cardinals, squirrels and participating in other activities. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends during her dinner parties, spending the holidays with her family and taking the RV down to Corpus Christi, TX with her late husband Robert later in life. Barbara is survived by her son, Robert McAuley Jr.; daughter Jan McAuley; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Mendenhall, Vanessa (Ranger) Combs and Matt McAuley; great grandchildren, Justin Combs, Tristin Combs, Zach (Leah) Mendenhall, Devin Mendenhall and Jayden Mendenhall. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert McAuley Sr, of 70 years; parents; son, Michael McAuley and sister, Gloria Downing.
