Obituary

Arlene Jane (Hubka) Klingsporn 81 of Wichita, Kansas passed away at the hospital St. Francis Wichita, Kansas on Tuesday morning January 23,2018. Arlene Jane (Hubka) Klingsporn;  She was born April 24, 1936 along with her twin sister, Darlene Jean, to Albert Hubka and Anna (Kostal) Hubka in Odell, NE.  Arlene was married to Melvern "Jim" Klingsporn June 30, 1956.  She survived two sons James Jay Klingsporn of Wichita, Kansas, SSG Edmund Charles Klingsporn and wife Wendy Klingsporn of Clarksville,Tennessee;  daughter Deborah Ann Best and husband Richard "Rick" Best of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son in law Randy Foster of Wichita, Kansas. Arlene is survived by many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren include Trisha, James "J D", Ricky, Janessa, Monica and Matthew, Tanya, Charla, Montana, Santana, Charissa, Randy "R J" Jameson and Jayme. Arlene was great-grandmother to Bailey, Teagan, Calleigh, Chandler, Emberlee,  Lilly, Jenna, Jase, Emmett, Madison, Julian, Naomi and Eli. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dolores (Hubka) Grabowski and Darlene Jean (Hubka) March, her beloved husband Dr. Melvern "Jim", son Russell "Rusty" and daughter Sonya (Klingsporn) Foster. Arlene attended the University of Nebraska where she received a Bachelors of Science then later a degree in Mathamatics. She was a teacher for USD 259 and worked for the Post Office. Arlene loved attending church at First United Methodist church and her Sunday school class the Double Ring. She was an avid bridge player and attended bridge tournaments in Kansas and Oklahoma. Arlene loved traveling and vacationing with her family. She visited Germany once and enjoyed traveling the European countrysides. Arlene was best known for her love of Nebraska Cornhusker Football and other University of Nebraska sports teams. Her fondest memories were of attending the Nebraska Football games. She would often greet people with the chant, "Go Big Red"! Arlene enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an amazing friend to many.  Arlene was a true example of the Proverb 31 women. Mom, your funeral is a mourning of your death, celebration of your life and acknowledgement of the endless sacrifices you have made to keep us happy. We will miss you.
