Sweet, Annie Lee, 92, joined the Lord on March 27th, 2023. She was born on February 25th, 1931 to Julius and Leona (Thomas) Craig in Jenks, Oklahoma. Annie joined the Church at an early age and is currently a member of Mizpah Baptist Church. After high school in Beggs, Oklahoma, she joined the Women's Army Corps in the clerical field. It was at Fort Dixon, New Jersey that she met Rudolph I. Sweet who became her husband of 67+ years. She followed her husband around the country while in the service. Annie spent 35+ years in the medical field as an LPN and did several other odd jobs during her career aside from military and medical. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, John Henry (Dorothy) Craig, Lillie (Roy) Chandler, Fred Craig, Arthur (Shirley) Craig, Velma Craig, Christine Craig, Thelma Craig Pike, and Ora Ward; Brothers-in-law, Wilson Pike and Gene Ward; and grandson, Lavance Williams. She is survived by sons, Rudolph I. (Mary) Sweet, Jr., and Donald L. Sweet; daughter, Winona A. Sweet; sister-in-law, Laura Craig; grandchildren, Nicole Delavara, Angela Sweet, Ora Sherlyn Johnson, Keli-Joe A. Sweet, Devontay Deshavaer, Samuel Sweet, and Diego Brock; great-grandchildren, Kye, Aubree, Eden, Jezekiah, Hezekiah, Taj, Alex, and Samiah; and a host of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Old Mission Mortuary, 3424 E 21st St N, Wichita, KS 67208. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 10:00 am at Mizpah Baptist Church, 2211 S Bluff St, Wichita, KS 67218.
