Aaron Smith was born in Wichita KS on July 15, 1970, to Gareth Duane Smith and Virginia Kathryn (McElroy) Smith. He passed away at home in Augusta KS on May 20, 2025.

Aaron was employed by Spirit Aerosystems in Wichita, KS as a tooling technician since January 2007, where he enjoyed the friendship of many. He always said that Spirit felt like a second home to him. Aaron enjoyed working on cars and being a hobby machinist, as well as joking around and spending time with his family.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Amanda Montgomery of Augusta, KS, son Bryan Smith and wife Becky Smith of Augusta, KS, son Brandon of Augusta, KS, and daughter Nichole Smith and wife Madison of Denver, CO; his mother Virginia Vaughan and her partner Frank Pegg of Wichita, KS, his sister, Kristie Shoemake and husband Steve Shoemake of Cleveland, OK, and many more friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Gareth Smith and his partner Peggy Barchus, of Wichita, KS.

Visitation will take place June 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Old Mission Mortuary with funeral services to follow at 12:30PM.
